Leonardo Piano is an Applied AI Scientist and a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Cagliari. His research focuses on Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, Information Extraction, Knowledge Graphs, and Document Intelligence, with experience in Large Language Model fine-tuning and evaluation.

At Istella, he contributes to the development of systems that extract, structure, and make knowledge from documents and unstructured data searchable, applying language models and semantic representations to complex enterprise contexts.
